Along with my connection to Nature, Mother Earth, Pachamama, is my continued path in energy healing and guidance to “Mindful Outdoor Experience”.
Completing level 2 in Reiki in southwest New Mexico, my next endeavor was training in “Mindful Outdoor Leadership” at Kripalu, in western Massachusetts. More recently, I completed a 300 hour energy healing training in Chile during November 2022, followed by expanding this knowledge through a 300 hour energy healing training in New Mexico. Both of these trainings were with through The Four Winds organization, put together by Alberto Villoldo.
Following the training in New Mexico, the owner of The Chi Center, Master Mingtong Gu, asked me to stay on for an additional month to get the landscape in order and balance the energy prior to upcoming events.
In this lifetime, I grew up in Upstate New York, Amsterdam, with the Adirondack Mountains as my backyard and my playground. College was at Paul Smiths, NY, where the wilderness of the northern Adirondacks was a mere 10′ off campus.
Since then, I spent 4 years in New England, with the Green Mountains of Vermont, White Mountains of New Hampshire and forests and lakes of Massachusetts my place of roaming. From there, the Rockies of Colorado were my playground for over 30 years. On to the enchanted southern edge of the Gila National Forest of southwest New Mexico, where forest meets the desert.
A calling to family led me to the forests of Northern Oregon, as well as the coastal towns of the Pacific. This continuing adventure has led me on to the “Lowcountry” of South Carolina, experiencing both the beaches and islands along the Atlantic and the tidal communities. And now, a return to my roots, Amsterdam, NY. (This latest move may be permanent, or a recuperative pause in the early stages of my later lifetime.)
Throughout my life, Trees have always been important to me. It hasn’t been until recent years that my connection with Trees has come full circle. The wisdom and knowledge of these Sentinels has become in the forefront of my existence.
As my awareness continues to evolve and grow, I’ve come to notice that in a close second to my relationship with the Trees, is my relationship with the Mountains. I’ve already mentioned the various mountain ranges I’ve enjoyed. I’m now realizing that there is a continual and important draw on my energy to include the Mountains in my focus. A visit to Colorado has really brought this incredible connection to light. Yet, it doesn’t stop there.
All of Nature; Trees, Seas, Air, Animals, Earth itself, are the actual reality. Spirituality and our connection to Nature are not inseparable, as we have come to believe. The power and depth of the energy of the Seas, as well, has been brought more into focus, in the last few years.
My current sabbatical, or stepping away from the mundane is leaving the door open, and hopefully my spirit. It will be interesting to see where the continued adventure of this life will lead.
Walk with me.
Peter
