First Blocks on a New Wall

March 20, 2015

Spring Equinox, New Moon in Pisces, Solar Eclipse, and more. This is how this day is presenting itself. So many of us have felt the buildup to this point, and it hasn’t always been the smoothest ride. Of course, there is a great deal of talk about all the different aspects of this single most powerful day so far this year, possibly the biggest day to be this year. Sort of like the buildup to Christmas, only without all of the shopping and negative bustle that goes with that. (Sorry to bring that in here.) Yet, this buildup, the bumpy ride, the letting go and promise of new and great possibilities, the change predicted, all come with a genuine sweetness. A sweetness, dressed in teary eyes, rushes of heartfelt emotions, dancing, singing, tripping, loss of thought, distraction from normal life, excitement, trepidation, and … well, you fill in your own blanks to add that personal touch.

1st blocks

They say (those people who say those things and you know who you are) that this is a time of letting go and of new beginnings, new possibilities. They say (and I mean that respectfully) that this is a time of change. For some it will be great change and possibilities. Yeah, I can feel that. And, I’ve felt a great sense of letting go. Collectively, we are moving into a new cycle, 19 years they say. They say we can expect, yes, expect our lives to change, opening to the paths we individually will travel, yet winding together in a collective forward direction. They say, …

Today, we are laying the first blocks on a new wall. No, really. I am a landscaper and we literally will be laying the first blocks on a new wall, today. We could have laid the first blocks yesterday, however we were continually hampered in getting materials into the site and well, y’know, just that other landscaper kinda stuff. So, today we are laying the first blocks, the foundation for a new wall. Not a wall to keep anyone out. A wall to hold back the hillside. Not a wall to prevent the natural flow of the hillside so much as a wall to support a new patio and plantings, a wall to support.

It struck me, just this morning, as I was poring over the latest posts on the energy shifts, and all that is happening today, and up to this day, and beyond this day. And, what struck me, as I felt in touch with what I feel letting go, and what is presenting itself to me this day, is that today we are laying the first blocks, the foundation for a new wall, a wall for support.

Really, one of the last things I want to do today, is to go to work. What I really want to do is to just bask in this incredible moment, this very special transition. What I really want to do is to just be able to sit and recognize this moment, maybe go sit in the Woods even. What I really want to do is not in line with the work we have scheduled to do, the work we intend on accomplishing this day.

But, today we are laying the first blocks on a new wall. How incredibly appropriate.
